From an idea to impact.
Our story
In 2016, African insurance still ran on spreadsheets and email.
That observation, shared by Alexandre N'Djoré, an engineer holding an MBA from Hult International Business School and a doctorate in business administration specialising in artificial intelligence, is where Digitech Africa Ltd began. One conviction guides it: AI's impact in Africa will not come from imported software, but from platforms designed for the realities of the continent.
Four years later, in 2020, FANAF awarded Digitech the Best African InsurTech prize. In 2022, the BLOC Smart Africa Fund invested €300,000 alongside Launch Africa Ventures to accelerate the continental rollout.
Today, from its HQs in Abidjan and Mauritius, its Johannesburg office and its Delaware presence, Digitech supports 200+ insurance and reinsurance companies across 15 markets in West and Central Africa.
